A big crowd problem happened at a religious meeting in Hathras, India. A man called “Bhole Baba” was leaving in his car. Many people who liked him ran after the car. This caused a lot of trouble.
A video shows what happened just before the crowd got out of control. Sadly, 121 people died. Most of them were women and children. 31 people got hurt.
In the video, people are shouting and running after Bhole Baba’s car. Some people who were sitting got pushed down.
Some people fell in a muddy field nearby. When they fell, other people stepped on them by accident.
A worker at the meeting wrote a letter explaining what happened. He said the trouble started when Bhole Baba’s helpers tried to stop people from running to the car. Many people fell down.
Some people tried to run away to open fields, but they slipped and fell. Then other people ran over them.
Before this happened, people at the meeting were happy. They were singing and clapping. Two women even climbed a pole to see better.
The meeting place was too full. Only 80,000 people were supposed to be there, but about 250,000 came.
Most people died because they couldn’t breathe. A doctor said there weren’t many injured people because in this kind of crowd trouble, people usually get up and leave if they’re not badly hurt.
