Photo of Crime Boss Chhota Rajan After 9 Years in Jail Surfaces

Must read

The first photograph of crime boss Chhota Rajan since his arrest nine years ago appeared on social media. This photograph dismissed rumors that he had died or was very sick while in Delhi’s Tihar Jail. Chhota Rajan was arrested at an airport in Bali and brought back to India in 2015. Since then, he has been kept in a high-security cell in Jail No. 2 in Tihar.

This recent photo of Chhota Rajan dismissed speculation that he had died inside Tihar during the Covid pandemic or had a serious illness. The photo has also renewed fears of a possible attack on him while he remains in prison.

Chhota Rajan used to work under the crime boss Dawood Ibrahim in Mumbai. But they had a disagreement after the 1993 Mumbai bombings. Rajan has also received many death threats from Chhota Shakeel, another crime boss.

While Rajan has been in Tihar since 2015, the prison officials never gave any official statement or update about him until now.

Rumors of Chhota Rajan’s death Chhota Rajan tested positive for Covid-19 in April 2021 and was admitted to AIIMS Delhi hospital. After the news came that a criminal politician from Bihar named Shahabuddin died from Covid, there was speculation that Rajan had also died from the virus.

In 2000, some shooters working for Chhota Shakeel attacked Rajan in Bangkok. Rajan was shot multiple times, which again led to rumors of his death. However, he survived the attack.

Dawood and Chhota Rajan parted ways after disagreeing over the violence following the 1993 Mumbai blasts.

In 1994, an international arrest notice was issued for Rajan. But it was rumored that after separating from Dawood, Rajan was helping authorities with information about Dawood’s criminal operations.

After nearly 20 years on the run, Chhota Rajan was finally caught in 2015 when he arrived at an airport in Bali from Sydney. He was reportedly using a passport with the name Mohan Kumar, but ended up telling immigration officials his real name Rajendra Sadashiv Nikhalke.
