Puja Khedkar, the probationary civil services officer under investigation for allegedly falsifying information about her visual and mental disabilities, as well as her OBC status to gain unauthorized benefits, exchanged several WhatsApp messages with the Pune Collector’s office prior to her assignment, insisting on confirmation of her “office setup and transport arrangements.”
A preliminary report from the Collector’s Office included three screenshots of messages between Ms. Khedkar and an unidentified individual, displaying impatient and forceful replies.
One of the initial messages seems to be Ms. Khedkar introducing herself to the officer.
“Hello, Dr. Puja Khedkar IAS here. I have been appointed as Assistant Collector in Pune. Dr. Diwase sir provided me with your contact number. I will be joining on June 3rd. However, I am unable to locate some of my documents that were sent from the Buldhana Collector’s office to Pune in our office. Please let me know what can be done…”
The response was: “Ok. No issue. On Monday we can trace.”
Ms. Khedkar then requested details about her office and a government vehicle, “so I can make arrangements accordingly.” She was also told this would be “discussed with the collector sir on Monday.”
