News Update on Reasi Bus Attack: Two days after terrorists attacked and killed 9 people and hurt 41 others on a bus carrying pilgrims in Reasi district, the Jammu and Kashmir Police on Tuesday showed a picture of one terrorist involved and offered a reward of 20 lakh rupees for information about him.
On Sunday, terrorists fired at a 53-seater bus carrying pilgrims from the Shiv Khori temple to the Mata Vaishno Devi shrine in Katra. The bus, with pilgrims from Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan, and Delhi, went off the road into a deep valley in Reasi district after the shooting.
The police spokesperson said, “Reasi police announces a 20 lakh rupee reward for helpful information about the terrorist involved in the recent attack on the pilgrims’ bus in Pouni area.” The terrorist’s picture was made based on descriptions given by people who saw him.

Efforts are ongoing to find the terrorists, with 11 security teams working in the area and roadblocks around Ranso-Poni-Treyath.
Police believe the terrorist group Lashkar-e-Taiba was behind the attack. A team from NIA visited Reasi on Monday, and their forensic team is collecting evidence.
The Jammu and Kashmir lieutenant governor announced 10 lakh rupees each for the families of those killed and 50,000 rupees each for the injured people in the Reasi terror attack.
