Udhayanidhi Stalin’s Plan to Bring Down Petrol and Gas Prices!”

Must read

Minister for Youth Welfare and Sports Development Udhayanidhi Stalin, while campaigning for DMK candidate Thamizhachi Thangapandian in the South Chennai constituency, made several promises to the electorate. He pledged to reduce the prices of petrol and gas cylinders if the DMK was voted into power in the upcoming Lok Sabha election. Udhayanidhi criticized the Modi-led government for its handling of fuel prices, citing a significant increase in the cost of gas cylinders since 2014. He assured voters that under the INDIA bloc, gas cylinders would be sold at ₹500. Additionally, he vowed to lower diesel prices and eliminate toll plazas on highways.

Criticizing the previous AIADMK-led government for aligning with the BJP, Udhayanidhi accused them of betraying Tamil Nadu’s interests. He promised various welfare measures for the constituency, including providing land titles (pattas) and establishing a welfare hall in Nageshwara Rao Park. Udhayanidhi also pledged to prioritize the issues of South Chennai, committing to spend two days a week addressing local concerns.

Referring to Prime Minister Modi as ‘Mr. 29 paise’, Udhayanidhi highlighted the disparities in tax revenue-sharing between the State and Union governments, claiming Tamil Nadu received only a fraction of what it contributed.

Responding to a question about abolishing the NEET exam in the state, Udhayanidhi stated that Tamil Nadu had already made efforts towards removing NEET and pledged to intensify these efforts to ensure the state is free from the exam, which he claimed has resulted in the loss of lives.
