Keir Starmer is set to become Britain’s next prime minister, with his centre-left Labour Party anticipated to secure a substantial majority in the parliamentary election. This victory will end 14 years of often turbulent Conservative rule by decisively defeating Rishi Sunak’s party.

Rishi Sunak admitted defeat after numerous cabinet members lost their seats and the extent of the Tory loss became evident.

Here are the live updates of the UK Election Results:

Count Binface, the self-proclaimed “intergalactic space warrior,” contested against Rishi Sunak in the Richmond and Northallerton parliamentary seat during the UK general elections. He celebrated a personal milestone in his fledgling political career, achieving a 6th place finish.

Calling this achievement “#BindependenceDay,” Count Binface wrote, “My highest ever finish: 6th. My highest ever parliamentary vote: 308. My highest height advantage: 2ft 6in. #BindependenceDay has come.”

Indian-Origin Suella Braverman, Criticized for Immigration Comments, Triumphs in UK Polls

In the 2024 UK general election, Suella Braverman, who previously served as Home Secretary, won the new Fareham and Waterlooville constituency. She led the Conservative Party and beat Labour’s Gemma Furnivall by more than 6,000 votes.

After her victory, Braverman apologized to the public for her party’s performance over the past 14 years. “I’m sorry that the Conservative Party didn’t listen to you,” she said in a press conference. “We have let you down.”

Braverman, who is of Indian origin, admitted that her party had not kept its promises and had taken voters’ support for granted without delivering on their commitments. “You, the British people, voted for us for over 14 years, but we didn’t do what we promised, despite saying we would,” she explained.
