“Woman Murders 3-Year-Old Daughter to Pursue Lover: Crime Patrol Inspiration”

Must read

The investigation into the discovery of a three-year-old girl’s body inside a suitcase in Muzaffarpur, Bihar, has directed the police to her mother. The suspect, Kajal, has been apprehended and has confessed to the police that she was involved in an extramarital affair and wanted to separate from her husband. However, her partner did not want her daughter to accompany them. Consequently, she slit the child’s throat, placed the body in a suitcase, and discarded it in a bush.

The woman has also informed the police that she plotted her daughter’s killing after viewing the well-known TV series Crime Patrol.

The remains of three-year-old Misti were found in a red trolley bag in a residential area of Muzaffarpur’s Minapur on Saturday. The discovery of the child’s body stunned the community, prompting the police to establish a Special Investigation Team to investigate the crime.

The forensic team was brought in, and while examining the family’s home, they discovered blood stains on the floor, in the sink, and on the terrace. Misti’s mother, Kajal, was missing, and police learned she had called her husband, Manoj, on the day of the incident, claiming she was going to her aunt’s house.

Manoj filed a police report against Kajal, leading to an FIR being registered. Police traced Kajal’s phone and conducted searches, eventually locating her at her boyfriend’s home.

During interrogation, Kajal revealed that she had been in a relationship outside her marriage for the past two years and wanted to live with her boyfriend. “She wanted to bring her daughter along, but her boyfriend didn’t agree. Confused, Kajal ended up slitting her daughter’s throat with a knife. She then placed the body in a red trolley bag and discarded it in the bushes near their house,” said city police chief Awadhesh Dixit.

The officer added that Kajal had attempted to clean up the blood but the forensic team still found traces. The knife used in the crime was also recovered.

“She committed the murder alone and mentioned that she got the idea from watching Crime Patrol, where she saw similar cases,” Mr. Dixit said.

When asked if the police believe the woman’s boyfriend was involved in the crime, the officer responded, “We haven’t found any evidence linking the boyfriend to the killing, so we haven’t arrested him. Kajal has also stated that she acted on her own after being influenced by Crime Patrol, and her boyfriend did not encourage her to commit the crime.”
