If you’re a YouTube creator, there’s an important update you need to know. Starting July 15, 2025, YouTube is changing how it handles monetization — especially for AI-generated or repetitive content.
YouTube is tightening the rules for what kind of content can make money.
Basically, if your videos are:
- Mass-produced using AI with little to no editing
- Just slideshows or text with a robotic voice.
- Repeated clips or content that looks the same again and again
Why Is YouTube Doing This?
YouTube says they want to protect real creators and stop the flood of “spammy” or low-effort videos. With so much AI content popping up, YouTube wants to make sure people see original and valuable videos — not just the same stuff copied or made by bots.
This update is YouTube’s way of saying:
“Create content that feels real, helpful, and human — and we’ll support you.”
If you’re putting effort into your videos, you have nothing to worry about. Just keep it real.
