Bengaluru: A heartbreaking case has come to light in Bengaluru, Karnataka. Here a 36-year-old man killed his 32-year-old wife. Then he packed her body in a suitcase and fled leaving it in the house. Police have arrested him near Pune. The name of the deceased woman is Gauri Anil Sambrekar. She was a graduate in mass media and was looking for a job. The name of the accused is Rakesh Rajendra Khedekar. He is a project manager in a software company. Both of them had come to live in a rented house in Doddakkammanahalli, Bengaluru just a month ago. This place is near Hulimavu. Came to Bengaluru from Mumbai: Police say that they had come to Bengaluru from Mumbai, but it is not yet known when they shifted to the city. According to the police, Rakesh had fled after the murder. Police caught him in Maharashtra when he was going to Pune in his car. A police officer said that he is being brought back to Bengaluru. Investigations revealed that Rakesh had called his landlord around 5.30 pm on Thursday. He told the landlord that he had killed his wife the previous night and had left the city. He asked the landlord to inform the police about this and ask his family to perform the last rites.

Bengaluru police reached Pune by flight in the evening. With the help of Maharashtra police, Rakesh was caught near Pune around 9.30 pm.
