Pakistan is angry and China is happy with PM Modi’s interview,

Must read

PM Modi had said that he had gone to Lahore in an attempt to bring peace and had invited the then Pakistan Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif to his swearing-in ceremony in 2014. PM Modi had said that if any terrorist incident takes place anywhere in the world, its source is Pakistan. Pakistan’s Foreign Ministry said on Monday, “The Indian Prime Minister’s comment is beyond facts and one-sided. He left the Jammu and Kashmir dispute as per his convenience, whereas there has been no solution to it even after the last seven decades. This is when India had assured the United Nations, Pakistan and the people of Kashmir.” Rejecting Prime Minister Modi’s comment, Pakistan’s Foreign Ministry said, “India creates imaginary narratives to portray itself as a victim but cannot escape the charge of supporting terrorism on Pakistani soil. Instead of blaming each other, India should look at its own record of conspiracy of terrorism and targeted killing on foreign soil. Pakistan has always advocated dialogue that achieves results, including the dispute over Jammu and Kashmir.

However, what Narendra Modi said about China in this interview is completely different and the Chinese Foreign Ministry has welcomed it.

PM Modi said about China, “Our effort is that differences with China do not turn into discord. The incident that happened on the border in 2020 had increased our distance. But after meeting President Xi Jinping, the situation on the border is becoming normal. Competition between China and India is natural but there should not be conflict.”

Welcoming this comment of PM Modi, the Chinese Foreign Ministry said on Monday, “China welcomes Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s positive statement on India-China relations. In October last year, PM Modi and President Xi Jinping met in Kazan, Russia and this meeting provided a strategic guidance regarding bilateral relations.

PM Modi’s language regarding China was completely different and completely different regarding Pakistan. Obviously, on this basis, the Foreign Ministries of both the countries have also responded.
