In table tennis, India secured a 3-2 victory over Romania in the team round of 16, earning a place in the quarter-finals. In athletics, Kiran Pahal finished seventh in her Round 1 heat of the women’s 400m, advancing to the repechage stage. Meanwhile, Avinash Sable claimed fifth place in the men’s 3000m steeplechase Round 1 Heat 2, progressing to the final.
In shooting, Maheshwari Singh and Anant Jeet Singh advanced to the bronze medal match in mixed skeet but were defeated in the medal contest. Nisha Dahiya faced disappointment in wrestling, losing to North Korea’s Pak Sol Gum in the quarterfinals.
Day 11 promises to be exciting, with India’s first-half starting at 1:30 PM IST, featuring table tennis. The men’s team, including Harmeet Desai, Manav Thakkar, and Sharath Kamal, will compete in the Round of 16. Simultaneously, the men’s javelin throw qualifiers will commence, with Kishore Jena’s group participating.
