Must read

The police in Pune are investigating a serious case involving a minor accused of driving a Porsche car while intoxicated. This car crash resulted in the tragic deaths of two software engineers on a motorcycle.

According to the police’s submission in court, the blood sample taken from the minor accused, as well as the person whose blood was swapped before sending it for alcohol testing, was collected in an area without CCTV cameras.

The minor was allegedly driving the Porsche at high speed under the influence of alcohol on May 19 when the car collided with the two victims. The minor was detained, while his father and grandfather were arrested in separate cases related to the accident.

However, the focus shifted to the alleged involvement of two doctors and a hospital staff member from B.J. Government Medical College and Sassoon General Hospital. They are accused of discarding the minor’s blood sample and replacing it with another person’s sample, believed to be the minor’s mother.

Key Developments:

  • Police seeking a 7-day remand extension for the two doctors and hospital staff.
  • Blood samples allegedly collected in a non-CCTV area of the hospital.
  • Police recovered Rs 3 lakh from the accused, leading to corruption charges.
  • Prosecution claims WhatsApp and phone communications among accused need investigation.
  • Defense lawyers argue against further custody for the accused doctors.
  • Police aim to confront the accused with the minor’s father, arrested in a separate kidnapping case.

The investigation continues as authorities attempt to unravel the alleged cover-up and determine the extent of the involvement of all parties in this high-profile case.
