“Supreme Court Looks into NEET Exam Cheating Claims”

Must read

The Supreme Court asked the National Testing Agency (NTA) and the government to respond to claims of cheating in the NEET-UG 2024 exam.

The court said even small mistakes must be looked into carefully. NEET is the main test for students who want to study medicine in India. The NTA runs this test every year.

The court said that even tiny errors (as small as 0.001%) must be dealt with fully. They also said they understand how hard students work to prepare for this difficult test.

The court will hear more about this on July 8. They want the NTA to act quickly.

The NEET-UG test happened on May 5 in many places across India. Results came out on June 4.

After the results, some people were worried about extra marks given to 1,563 students. This became a big issue. The NTA then told the court it would cancel the test for these students and let them retake it on June 23.

The education minister said they would punish NTA officials if they did something wrong.

Some students asked the court to cancel the whole 2024 test. They want the police or others to look into possible cheating. They said an unusual number of students got very high scores this year.

The students want a fair investigation to help all the hardworking students who might have lost out because of these problems.
