Must read

Leaders from almost 90 countries met in Switzerland on Sunday. They said they support Ukraine’s right to keep its land. Indian officials went to the meeting. Later, India’s foreign office said they want a long-lasting peace. But India didn’t sign any papers from the meeting.

India’s foreign office said they went to the opening and closing parts of the meeting. They didn’t agree to any official statements. India joins these talks because they want to help find peace through talking, not fighting.

The office also said Ukraine and Russia need to talk seriously to end this big fight, the biggest in Europe since World War II. India will keep talking to everyone involved to help bring peace soon.

The meeting in Switzerland ended with many countries saying they support Ukraine’s right to its land. They want all sides to talk and find a solution that lasts.

This happened just days after India’s leader, Narendra Modi, had a good talk with Ukraine’s president, Volodymyr Zelenskyy, at another big meeting.

Modi said on Twitter that India wants to be better friends with Ukraine. He also said India thinks peace comes from talking, not fighting.
